About Tamar Decorators

Our Story

In 2007, Director Andrew Johnstone started Tamar Decorators after building up a wealth of experience and knowledge while leading decorating groups and teams throughout Devon and Cornwall. Based in Saltash, Cornwall, the company has grown, to become a lead Painting and Decorating company in the South West of England. The team continues to grow, and we are confident with taking on any size job and we believe we will meet the customers need in every job we do. We are a proud family run business and have exceptional customer care, both while the job is being carried out and excellent after care once the job is completed. We have built long lasting work relationships with numerous companies and customers up and down Devon, Cornwall and along the South Coast and we believe our superior, fine detailed finishes are the reason these work relationships continue to develop, and we are able to complete each project to the highest of standards. 

We are proud of our work portfolio to date which includes the full re development of the Grade 1 Listed Site Royal William Yard including restaurants Seco Lounge and Bistrot Pierre. The refurb of all heritage sash windows on Melville building situated in the heart of the Royal William Yard site. We have worked on luxury homes across Devon and Cornwall for a client that is looking for a very high end and unique finish. As well we have worked alongside Keepmoat Homes and Plymouth City Council with the re decoration of each social housing kitchen and bathroom across the city. As a company who pride ourselves on reputation we went the extra mile during the COVID pandemic and worked in the care sector, completing a full refurb on a Hamberly  Care Home in Devon.
